Are you a young, fitness-oriented individual between the ages of 18–21, considering a career in fitness modeling? Perhaps you already have a great physique or are working on one but aren’t sure how to take the first step. Here are some tips and recommendations on where to start and what to focus on.
Fitness modeling combines aesthetics, athletic style, and confidence in front of the camera. It's about showcasing your body not only in photos but also in videos. Models are expected to display their muscles and form in the best possible light. You don’t need to be a professional bodybuilder; proportionate distribution and the ability to present yourself are more important.
As a new model, you need at least two quality photos that show off your physique and personality. These don’t have to be professional shots but should be clear and well-lit. Full-body and portrait shots are ideal. At your first casting, you may even receive free professional photos to help boost your career.
During casting, you’ll meet the photographer and team who will guide you through the process. Casting usually has two parts: modeling and fitness. In the modeling part, you focus on posing in clothing, while the fitness part may require you to show your muscles in sportswear or swimwear. Remember, naturalness is key, and you don’t have to act – just be yourself.
At Holycasting, we understand that every model has their limits. That's why our castings never require full nudity. The goal is to present the body in a tasteful and aesthetic style, always respecting your boundaries. If you’re uncomfortable with something, you always have the right to decline.
Confidence is the key to success in fitness modeling. Even if you're not used to being in front of the camera, try to focus on what you’re doing well rather than what might go wrong. A positive attitude will guide you through the shoot and help you show your best self.
Holycasting offers comprehensive support for new models. You can rely on expert advice on posing, shoot preparation, and technical assistance in building your portfolio. If you’re unsure how to pose or present yourself, our team will always be there to guide you.
